Cambridge Who's Who Names Kevin M. Lorenz, MD, Professional of the Year in Ophthalmology
In 15 Years, Dr. Lorenz has Performed Thousands of Surgical and Refractive Procedures

BISMARCK, ND, May 24, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- 2011, Kevin Lorenz, an ophthalmologist for The Eye Clinic of North Dakota, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Ophthalmology. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Dr. Lorenz's area of expertise is cataract and refractive surgery. He is responsible for performing laser-assisted refractive surgery, corneal surgery, cataract and lens implant surgery, and treating patients affected with glaucoma. In 1996, as the FDA approved LASIK in the U.S., Dr. Lorenz integrated the first-ever excimer laser in North Dakota and performed laser-assisted refractive surgery for patients. He attributes his success to his hard work and commitment to accomplishing his professional goals.

Dr. Lorenz completed his residency in ophthalmology at the National Naval Medical Center of Bethesda, MD. He fulfilled his internship at the Naval Medical Center of San Diego. In 1987, he received his MD at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Since 1996, he has served as the medical director of the Lions Eye Bank of North Dakota.
